Dayton is a city of about 140,000 people and over 800,000 people live in the immediate area outside the city. Dayton is a city rich with the arts and you'll find that it's one of the premier cities for ballet and theater and is home to one of the oldest operating dance companies in the U.S., The Dayton Ballet. Along with smaller productions in film, theater, and opera you'll also find a great TV news production hub, and one of Dayton's biggest draws is the Vectren Dayton Air Show, an annual air show that's one of the largest in the U.S. Although there are no professional sports teams, there are some great minor and semi-pro teams.
