Modeling, made accessible
Modeling should be open to anyone, in any city, at any stage of their career. The traditional agency system was built for a narrow definition of who gets to be a model and where the work happens. That definition stopped matching how the industry actually works a long time ago.
BookModels is the platform we wanted to exist: no roster gatekeeping, no exclusive contracts, no commission per booking. Forty thousand models across 90+ US cities, working across 100+ categories from trade show to editorial to brand activation. Every model in charge of their own profile, their own rates, their own bookings.

Build the tools, get out of the way
The job of a marketplace is to make introductions and stay invisible. We give models a profile that gets discovered, give clients a search that surfaces the right talent, give both sides direct messaging without a middleman. The booking, the rate, the relationship: all between the two parties.
What we focus on is the platform itself. Search that ranks the right models for the right brief. A messaging system that protects both sides. Verification that means something. Tools for models to manage their schedule, their portfolio, their billing. Infrastructure for clients to brief, book, and manage talent at scale.
The marketing world has spent the last decade learning that authentic, direct relationships beat the alternative. Our job is to enable those relationships, not insert ourselves into them.
Platform
Built for how the work actually happens
Models build a profile that includes their measurements, work categories, location, rates, and recent work. Clients search by city, type, availability, and a dozen other filters. When a client finds a model they want to book, they message directly. The conversation is theirs.
For models the platform handles the hard parts of being independent: a portfolio that updates instantly, a booking calendar visible to clients, payment infrastructure, message threads with clear controls. For clients it handles the hard parts of casting at scale: shortlist tools, briefing templates, multi booking management for events with rosters.
And the content side: hundreds of articles for both models and clients, covering everything from how to write a casting call to how to negotiate a rate to how to staff a four day trade show. Searchable, organized by audience, free.
Trust & Safety
Verified profiles, protected conversations
Every model on the platform has completed identity and age verification through our onboarding partner Signable. Profiles cannot be created anonymously. Every account is tied to a verifiable real person.
Direct messaging between models and clients runs through thread controlled channels. Both parties can pause, archive, or report a thread at any time. Personal contact details are not shared in profile until both parties agree to a booking.
The platform does not tolerate harassment, exploitation, or bad faith conduct. Reports are reviewed. Repeat offenders lose platform access. We are not a substitute for emergency services or legal counsel, and we make no promises the platform cannot keep, but the policies and the enforcement are real.
BookModels is open to models and clients without regard to race, gender, gender identity, disability, religion, age, or marital status. Inclusivity is not a marketing checkbox; it is the operating model. We expect the same from everyone using the platform.
