I am a former collegiate athlete; I played volleyball and basketball in college while earning a master’s degree. I graduated as a distinguished graduate (4.0 gpa) in educational leadership. I do believe that playing sports builds character and is a benefit when it comes to the professional world as you learn how to manage stress. You also learn how important confidence is which is needed in entertainment. However, confidence does not happen over night; it comes with seeing success and success is obtained through perfecting your craft. That being said, I practice poses on my own. I haven’t gotten, but one shoot and I believe he was an amateur. But you have to play the hand you’re dealt. I hope my determination and passion will be enough to open up more opportunities for me.
