I've spent the majority of my time as a server until 2019. During that time I loved to attend anime conventions (Connecticon, AnimeNYC, Otakon, Comicon etc.) to express my love for cosplay and helping others put together their cosplay as well. After the pandemic and my father's death at the start of it, I started running a general contracting business for kitchen specialty from 2020-2021 in which directed my attention to almost taking care of everything and everyone else but myself.
As I got used to that line of work, I also gradually started to look at myself and realized how much of myself I gave up. I hid my femininity and I leaned more towards a masculine appearance for over a year due to that line of work which made me feel at times ashamed, even scared, to be seen as a woman. Seeing how immersed I was in the role as a contractor, I still knew that was not who I was.
Now I want to regain the joy and passion I had before and hopefully grow from the point where I stopped years ago. To have pride in my femininity, to use my adaptive skilled and to put my commitment into something I love again.
